Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA with a reputation to go the extra mile for directors, artists & labels to get projects done, Jay is a versatile composer, record producer, and pianist that is proficient in playing classical, contemporary and jazz with experience in Film, TV, and Pop music.
He works with some of the biggest names in entertainment such as songwriter Diane Warren and film composer Marco Beltrami, and has worked with artists such as Billy Steinberg, Josh Alexander, Tom Gregory, Faouzia, Zara Larsson, Anne Marie, Ava Max, Brian McKnight Jr, Jordy Towers, SomekindofWonderful, Jony Koch, Brian Dunne, Natalie Major, and more.
Known for being a very determined individual, Jay has a solid work ethic and the drive of a competitive athlete who is always focused on finishing what he starts.
Jay frequently collaborates directly with Academy Award nominated composer Marco Beltrami. They recently finished a handful of projects such as composing a score for an upcoming documentary about Art forging and the royal family called THE ROYAL STUNT, assisting on John Woo’s SILENT NIGHT, and THE KILLER (On Peacock). He also contributed with Marco on the recent MotoGP 2024 Racing Theme, and worked on John Wick’s THE BALLERINA.
More recently, Jay and Marco produced a song for the end credits of THE KILLER called “INTROUVABLE” by Jorane. He also scored 2 acclaimed short films, WHEN EVERYTHING WAS BLUE about 9/11 first responders, and a horror flick called THE COMPANION.
